The end of an era is truly upon us, as Nintendo has announced the end of StreetPass Relay Stations in Japan. The service will close at the end of March, on the 28th. StreetPass as a whole will remain active (who knows how much longer) but the Stations will no longer be available.

The Stations were used as a connection to Nintendo Zones for the Nintendo 3DS, making for a more efficient way of using the service. This connection was really useful, as anyone who crossed that point would receive the data available there.
