Iron Galaxy CEO, Adam Boyes tweeted earlier today asking Capcom to let them port Monster Hunter World to the Nintendo Switch. The Chicago-based studio is well versed in cross-platform ports, and claims they “won’t let [Capcom] down” if given a crack at the latest Monster Hunter.
Dear @monsterhunter team at Capcom – we understand that porting the game to Nintendo Switch is challenging (https://t.co/0JrAIQgcft) but this is exactly what @IToTheG does. Give us a shot & we won’t let you down 😉

Iron Galaxy Studios is well-known for porting a wide range of games between Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The team brought Elder Scrolls Online and Borderlands 2 from PC to consoles and even brought Capcom’s own Street Fighter III: Third Strike up to modern consoles.
Still, Capcom recently expressed specific concerns about bringing Monster Hunter World to the Switch. Capcom has cited early development choices and hardware limitations, as well as the Switch’s “different functions from stationary consoles” as primary roadblocks.
It remains to be seen if Capcom might consider tapping another studio to port their latest massive hit, or what the end result might be. It’s worth noting that Capcom has not ruled out future Monster Hunter titles on the Switch, and has already brought Monster Hunter XX to Switch in Japan.
