It actually happened. Whether you thought it was happening today or not, Super Smash Bros. for Switch has been revealed, and the entire internet is celebrating. Inklings from the ever-popular Splatoon franchise are the first new characters added to the series, with them headlining the trailer to fakeout excited fans. A number of other characters are then shown, illuminated by a burning Smash logo.
Close-ups on Mario and Link are shown, with Link now wearing his BOTW outfit. Are there other characters hidden in these silhouettes? Break out your magnifying glasses, and start examining, but you’d better do it soon. This new iteration in the Smash Bros. franchise is releasing this year! Get hyped for E3, as we’re bound to see a bunch of reveals then. I know who I’m pulling for to join, after all.
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch is scheduled to release later this year and it’s available for pre-order now at Best Buy.
