Prima Games, most notably known for creating guides for popular games including Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Super Mario Odyssey, among others, will be closing their doors next Spring.
DK announced earlier today that they will no longer commission Prima Games to create guides as there’s been a “significant decline” in the video game guide industry. It’s really unfortunate, as many of us still purchase guides either because they’re collectibles or we want to learn more about each game’s rich history and how to unlock items, walkthroughs, etc.
It’s really unclear as to how we’ll be getting guides in the future including Nintendo titles. Prima Games has become one of the most popular strategy guide distributors and we’ll miss them dearly.
