Capcom’s latest profit results report “strong sales” for games in the Mega Man, Monster Hunter, and Street Fighter series.
In a press release, Capcom’s sales and profits numbers have improved year over year for the nine months ending in December 31, 2018. The company’s net sales increased 61, 279 million yen, which is up 23.8% year-over-year. Capcom’s operating income was also 13,461 million yen, which is up 92.0% year-over-year. Capcom attributes these strong sales numbers to games in well-known series like Monster Hunter and Mega Man.
On Monster Hunter:
Further, Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate (for Nintendo Switch), which was released in markets outside of Japan, enjoyed robust sales owing to its consistent popularity.
On Mega Man:
In addition, Mega Man 11 (for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC) reported strong sales…
…while Mega Man X Legacy Collection, Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2and Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1+2 (for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC for all three titles) performed well thanks to a dedicated fan base and strong brand capabilities.
