Niantic’s Pokemon GO revenue continues to grow as the title reached an 84% year-over-year revenue growth in January 2019.
According to SensorTower, Pokemon GO earned $37 million in January of 2018. Pokemon GO earned a total of $68.1 million across iOS and Android this January, meaning it grew 84% year-over-year.
SensorTower states that the majority of January’s revenue came from Japanese players. Japanese players “accounted for about 35 percent of revenue or approximately $23.8 million. This was up slightly from the 34 percent of revenue the country’s players contributed in January 2018.”
Pokemon GO players in the United States also spent a little more this January compared to last, as they spent “approximately $19.7 million, or 29 percent of its revenue for the month, up from 28 percent a year ago.”
