It’s been a while since Image & Form uploaded a new “The Engine Room” video, and this time it focuses on their upcoming Nintendo Switch game, SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech.
As announced a few weeks ago, SteamWorld Quest is a roleplaying game with card battle mechanics. Players choose randomly drawn cards from decks to assemble an action, and actions are performed through that combination of cards. The battle is still turn-based, much like traditional RPGs, but each fighter’s action depends on the cards.
Aside from a sample gameplay footage, Image & Form explained the history of how the game was made, along with a mini-FAQ. They also announced a raffle for the game; to enter, simply ask a question on the comments section of the video. Image & Form will pick questions to answer on their next video, and the best one will win a day one copy of SteamWorld Quest. You have until February 13, 1 p.m. CET (7 a.m. EDT) to enter the raffle.
