Jools Watsham was recently interviewed by The Nintendo Gurus to talk about “Chicken Wiggle,” “Mutant Mudds Deluxe,” “Treasurenauts”, and other things.

“Chicken Wiggle” for the 3DS is a retro-styled platforming game featuring 48 levels and a level editor. With this, players can create any stage they want and upload it for others to play. Those who are looking for a challenge can also play globally uploaded community and staff stages.”Chicken Wiggle” was released today and In fact, we recently reviewed the game and gave it an 8 out of 10.

Chicken Wiggle has been in development for a while now and Jools shared details regarding its development and his idea of creating a friendly and easy environment for newcomers. With the Nintendo Switch being a hot topic for developers, The Nintendo Gurus asked if the game would possibly be ported over, and Jools replied saying that it’s possible as long as the game is performing well on the 3DS.

Meanwhile, “Mutant Mudds” is also a platformer originally released back in 2012 for the 3DS. When asked about “Mutant Mudds Deluxe” for Nintendo Switch, Jools confirmed that the game is scheduled to release sometime later this year. It was also released on a variety of other platforms, with the latest one on PlayStation 3 and Vita. Watsham teased the game on the Switch last week on Twitter and mentioned that development is almost done.

“Treasurenauts”, is a co-op adventure platformer that was teased for Switch in February and is still in development, another upcoming game from Watsham. When asked about a tentative release window, Watsham mentioned that the game won’t be released this year.

Jools Watsham is the co-founder of Renegade Kid, the company behind “Mutant Mudd.” Renegade Kid split into two companies last year, with Watsham’s Atooi taking over the 2D titles. During the interview, Watsham also talked about his experiences on developing for the Switch and Nintendo in general. Considering his fondness for the company, it is possible that his other games may see a Switch release in the future.
