Since it’s announcement at The Game Awards last year, Nintendo has confirmed that Bayonetta 2 will be amiibo compatible. In a new post by Nintendo UK, Nintendo has detailed it’s amiibo features for Bayonetta 2 with costumes, weapons and more.
When tapping a compatible amiibo into Bayonetta 2, you can instantly unlock a number of Nintendo-themed costumes for Bayonetta to wear, weapons to use and more!
These costumes can also be acquired without amiibo as you progress through the game. These costumes were originally created for the Wii U release of the game which unlocked outfits for characters such as Princess Peach, Link, Samus, Fox McCloud, and Daisy.
Currently there’s no additional information whether the Switch version of Bayonetta 2 will include never-released costumes for the game or additional DLC content, however, we should be getting more updates as we approach its release.
