Nightmare Boy, a dreary, gloomy Metroidvania title, will be launching on the Nintendo Switch later this month.

Join Billy, a boy turned into a mysterious creature called a Rolok, as he battles his way through the dreams and nightmares of ten other children trapped in a nightmare realm.

Rescuing them from their nightmares will unlock new abilities for you, and you can use these different abilities to unlock a number of unique endings. With a mix of pixelated and cartoon-y visuals, a huge environment filled with hidden goodies, and a dark, unfurling story, Nightmare Boy might just be the title to scratch that Metroidvania itch.

Nightmare Boy launches January 16th on the Switch’s eShop. For all things Nintendo, keep posted to NinMobileNews.
