More details regarding Nintendo’s Online service for the Switch have just been revealed, giving us much needed information. Our prayers have finally been answered, as cloud saving will finally become a reality on the Switch as soon as the service drops. Users will need to pay for the service in order to use cloud saving features, but at least the feature is existent.

Nintendo have stated that further details about this feature will be available before the paid service launches in September. The Switch’s subscription works hand in hand with the mobile application. Purchasing the subscription will also give buyers access to twenty NES games at launch, with more to be announced.

The NES games currently announced for the service are as follows:

  • Soccer
  • Tennis
  • Donkey Kong™
  • Mario Bros.™
  • Super Mario Bros.™
  • Balloon Fight™
  • Ice Climber™
  • Dr. Mario™
  • The Legend of Zelda™
  • Super Mario Bros.™ 3

With more titles to be revealed down the line. Each of these titles is reworked with online multiplayer functionality, so players can battle it out in Balloon Fight from anywhere in the world.

Besides the formerly announced $20/year plan, Nintendo has also announced a Family Plan for $35/year which will cover up to eight accounts on one platform. Standard pricing will cost $4 for one month, $8 for three months, and $20 for a full year.

“Online features including Nintendo eShop, Friend registration and management, the sharing of screenshots over social networks, Nintendo Switch Parental Controls, system and software updates, and Nintendo Switch News will not be affected by the launch of the Nintendo Switch Online paid service,” the company said.

Nintendo promises to share final details about the service closer to the launch of the service this September. Stay tuned to NinMobileNews for all things Nintendo.
